Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the Spanish privacy notice.

Under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (published March 20, 2025), we inform you how we handle your personal data.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Clínica Dental Médanos (negocio ficticio para demostración), located at Av. Ejemplo 1234, Local 5, Col. Demostración, C.P. 32000, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México, is responsible for processing your personal data.

For anything related to this notice, contact Responsable de datos personales at privacidad@clinica-medanos.example.

2. What data we collect

Through this website, only when you fill out the "Request an appointment" form and choose to send the message:

  • Name.
  • Reason for your visit or service of interest.
  • Preferred day and time, and whether it's your first visit.
  • Your WhatsApp number and profile name, which we receive when your message arrives.

At the clinic, when we treat you:

  • Identification and contact details (name, date of birth, phone, email, address).
  • Health data: medical history, diagnosis, X-rays, treatments and allergies.
  • Billing details, if needed.

Sensitive data. Your reason for visit and all health data are sensitive personal data. We will ask for your express written consent to process them. The form's checkbox only covers using your name and reason for visit to book the appointment. To open your clinical record, we will ask for your signature at the clinic.

3. How we use your data

Necessary purposes to treat you:

  1. Booking, confirming, rescheduling and following up on your appointments.
  2. Providing the dental services you request, and creating and keeping your clinical record as required by Mexican standard NOM-004-SSA3-2012.
  3. Billing and issuing tax receipts.
  4. Handling emergencies and following up on your treatment.

Additional purposes, which require your consent and which you can decline without affecting your care:

  1. Sending check-up reminders and clinic promotions.
  2. Asking for your feedback about your care.
  3. Publishing your review on this website, only with your written permission.

If you don't want us to use your data for these additional purposes, tell us at the clinic, on WhatsApp or at privacidad@clinica-medanos.example.

4. How this website works

  • The form doesn't send your data to any website server. Your browser builds a message from what you enter and opens WhatsApp. You decide whether to send it. WhatsApp is a Meta Platforms service governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Click counter. When you tap a WhatsApp button, the site counts the click. It only stores the date, the button and the page language. It doesn't store your name, number, IP address or anything you type.
  • Visit statistics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and only produces aggregate statistics, such as number of visits or page views.
  • Map. The interactive map only loads if you ask for it. At that point, the map provider receives your IP address under its own policies.
  • Cookies. This site doesn't use cookies or other technologies to identify or track you.

5. Who we share your data with

We don't sell or rent your data. We don't make transfers that require your consent.

We only share your data without your consent in the cases allowed by Article 36 of the Law. For example, when it's needed for your diagnosis or treatment (a dental lab or a specialist we refer you to), or when a competent authority orders it.

Providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.

6. How to limit the use of your data

You can ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data by writing to privacidad@clinica-medanos.example.

7. Your ARCO rights

You have the right to access, rectify and cancel your data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, send a request to privacidad@clinica-medanos.example, addressed to Responsable de datos personales, including:

  1. Your name and a way to receive our reply.
  2. Official ID or, if someone acts on your behalf, proof of representation.
  3. A clear description of the data involved (not needed for access requests).
  4. The right you want to exercise or what you're requesting.
  5. Any other document that helps locate your data.

We'll reply within 20 business days of receiving your request. If it applies, we'll carry it out within the following 15 business days. These periods may be extended once, by the same length, when the case justifies it.

The process is free; we may only charge reproduction or shipping costs.

Please note that we must keep clinical records for the period required by Mexican regulations (at least five years), so cancellation won't apply in some cases.

8. How to withdraw your consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the same process as in section 7. Withdrawal is not retroactive. If it affects a necessary purpose, we may be unable to continue treating you.

9. Changes to this notice

We'll publish any changes at https://demo-dental-medanos.pages.dev/en/privacy-notice/ and update the date of this document. For important changes, we'll also let you know at your next visit or through the contact details you gave us.

10. Authority

If you believe your right to personal data protection was violated, you can contact Mexico's Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the authority that oversees compliance with the Law.

This is the message you'd send

WhatsApp doesn't open in the demo because the number is fictitious. On the real site, this message opens ready to send to the clinic's WhatsApp.
